We are on Etsy!

We have our very own category! I hope that in the near future, I will get caught up enough to list a few one of a kind dolls there. I'll be sure to post when we do!

If you are new to Etsy, it is a handmade marketplace. I love it! All kinds of very creative artists and you can leave feedback for your purchases. It's a great way to find one of a kind items.

In loving memory

We got the news this week that a fellow crafter and Prim Mart sister, Kat passed away from breast cancer. It was a long road for her with chemo treatments and being sick, things just went downhill so quickly.

All week, my Prim Mart sisters have been emailing about our loss - we all spent a couple of weekends together at convention. We shared happy, smiling memories - which quickly turned to tears. Kat and her mom came to convention together and we are so sad for Maggie who has lost a child. We are sad for Kat's husband, children, grandchildren, her extended family and all of her Prim Mart sisters who are missing her so much.

Cancer is so ugly, it sneaks up and steals life so quickly. I continue to pray that we will find a cure.

We have decided to donate the 10% we've raised so far to Kat's family. We will continue to fundraise for other charitable organizations but at this time, doing this just feels right to both of us.

It's been a while since we blogged

Both of us have been preoccupied and working hard for a big craft show weekend August 14th. Thankfully, we both had a great weekend and are back to work in all of our ventures.

We're so proud to be featured in the "Finds" column at Create and Decorate magazine this month! A huge thank you to Judi, Beverly and Noelle at the magazine for this opportunity.

Grand opening celebration!

A little bit about our new venture

YAY! The day is finally here! We are hanging our open sign up and invite you to join us in celebration of our new website http://www.saveourhooters.com/

We are so happy to announce this collaboration; our goal is to raise money to help support breast cancer awareness and education. We are donating 10% of our profits to charitable organizations.

The other goal we have is to help you raise money for your fundraising events. We are selling printables and patterns from our work as well as finished items at wholesale pricing. You may need a new idea for fundraising - why not try some of our products? Make them yourself or talk to us about wholesale pricing.

Finalizing the last details

When you read this post, we will be open for business but behind-the-scenes this week we are working like crazy to get READY! We are both so excited to open the website and show off all of our products.

Phone calls to be made. Edits to the wording throught the website. Products to list. Patterns to finish. oH my and here I am posting about getting ready :)
